Music player for iPhone & iPad
Your music.
Your files.
playsic plays the audio you already own — straight from iCloud Drive and the Files app. No accounts, no streaming, no ads. Just your library, perfectly played.
How it works
Three steps. No sync service.
playsic keeps its own copy of every track it imports, so your library plays offline and never depends on a connection.
Put music in Files
Drop MP3s or albums into iCloud Drive or On My iPhone — or use any service that shows up in the Files app, like Dropbox or Google Drive.
Import into playsic
Tap + and choose Import Files or Import Folder. Whole Artist/Album trees come in at once.
Press play
Tracks appear instantly and download in the background. Titles, artists and artwork are read from each file's tags.
Features
Everything a player should do. Nothing it shouldn't.
Plays the formats you have
MP3 and AAC are free. Lossless — FLAC, WAV, AIFF and Apple Lossless — at full quality with Premium. Gapless playback for live albums and mixes.
Albums, artists, playlists
Browse by album or artist, search and sort, and build reorderable playlists — even import straight into one.
Lock screen & Dynamic Island
A Live Activity and Home Screen widget show what's playing, with controls one tap away.
Shuffle, repeat, queue
Repeat one or all, shuffle properly, and see what's up next. A mini-player follows you everywhere.
Made for iPad, too
A sidebar layout that uses the big screen. AirPlay to speakers and Siri Shortcuts on both.
Pricing
Free to play. Pay once for more.
No subscription and no ads — ever. Premium is a single in-app purchase, shared with your family.

Privacy
A music library is personal. We keep it that way.
No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Anonymous crash reports only, and you can turn them off.
Privacy Policy
Effective 28 October 2026. This policy explains what the playsic app (“playsic”, “the app”), published by Parlaxis OÜ (“we”), does with information on your iPhone or iPad.
Your music and library
playsic accesses only the audio files and folders you explicitly select through Apple's document picker. Your library — copies of the audio files you import, tracks, playlists, play counts, playback positions, edited metadata and artwork — is stored locally on your device using Apple's frameworks. It is not uploaded to us or to any third party. playsic does not use iCloud sync.
iCloud Drive and other storage services in the Files app (such as Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive) are used only to read files you choose. playsic has no account with, and sends nothing to, those services; their own privacy policies govern how they handle your files.
Crash and diagnostic reports
To find and fix bugs, playsic sends anonymous crash and diagnostic reports to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), stored in Sentry's EU data region (Germany). Reports may include:
- Crash data: stack traces, app hangs and unexpected terminations.
- Performance data: sampled timings of app operations.
- Other diagnostic data: device model, iOS version, app version, and short technical logs (counts, states and error descriptions).
Reports do not include your name, IP address, Apple Account, file names, folder names, track titles, artists, artwork, screenshots or recordings of the screen. File paths and URLs are removed on the device before anything is sent. Reports are not linked to your identity and are not used for tracking or advertising.
Turning it off: open playsic → Settings → Privacy and switch off Share Crash Reports. Reporting stops immediately and stays off.
Purchases
playsic Premium is purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we receive no payment details and no personal information about you.
What we don't do
We do not collect contact information, location, contacts, browsing history, identifiers for advertising, or usage analytics. We do not sell or share data. playsic contains no advertising.
Children
playsic is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because crash reports are anonymous, we cannot link them to you. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you have rights under the GDPR, including access and erasure; contact us below and we will help however we can. Deleting playsic removes its local library from your device.

Support
Questions, answered.
How do I get my music into playsic?
Copy your audio files into iCloud Drive or On My iPhone using the Files app, Finder on a Mac, or iCloud.com. Then in playsic, open Library, tap +, and choose Import Files or Import Folder.
Can I import from Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive?
Yes — any storage service that appears in the Files app works. First set it up in Files:
- Install the service's app from the App Store and sign in.
- Open the Files app, go to Browse, tap ⋯ (top right) → Edit, and switch the service on.
Then import as normal: in playsic, open Library, tap +, choose Import Files or Import Folder, and pick the service under Locations. playsic copies each track to your device as it imports, so playback doesn't depend on the service afterwards.
A track says it's downloading. What's happening?
The file lives in iCloud Drive and isn't on your device yet. playsic asks iOS to download it and shows progress. Keep a network connection until it finishes; after that it plays offline.
Why can't I import FLAC or WAV files?
Lossless formats — FLAC, WAV, AIFF and Apple Lossless — are part of playsic Premium. MP3 and AAC/M4A are always free.
I moved or renamed files and a track won't play.
Once a track is imported, playsic plays its own copy, so moving or renaming the original doesn't affect it. If you used Free Up Space in Settings → Storage, playsic fetches the track from its original location next time you play it — if that file has since moved or been deleted, re-import it. Failed imports can be retried from the Library.
How do I restore my Premium purchase?
Open Settings → playsic Premium → Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account. Family members with Family Sharing get Premium automatically.
Can I move my library to a new device?
Premium can export a library backup (and playlists as M3U). Restoring a backup on the new device is free. Backups hold your library details and playlists, not the audio itself, so import your music on the new device from wherever you keep it.
Does playsic stream music or work with Apple Music?
No. playsic plays audio files you own. It doesn't stream and doesn't access your Apple Music library.
What do I need to run playsic?
An iPhone or iPad running iOS / iPadOS 26.1 or later.
